About the Role

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer who will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in manual and automation testing, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to mentor junior QA engineers while working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for web, mobile, and API applications.

• Define, implement, and maintain test strategies, test plans, and test automation frameworks.

• Conduct different types of testing: functional, regression, integration, system, performance, security, and UAT.

• Work closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.

• Perform API testing using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar.

• Implement CI/CD test automation integration with tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.

• Ensure defect tracking and reporting using JIRA (or similar tools), and verify bug fixes.

• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives).

• Mentor and guide junior QA engineers in best practices for manual and automation testing.

• Contribute to process improvements and ensure adherence to QA standards.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

• 5–8 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.

• Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle.

• Hands-on experience with test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit, Playwright, etc.).

• Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation scripting.

• Experience with API testing (Postman, REST Assured, SOAP UI).

• Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus.

• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.

• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Knowledge of blockchain or fintech applications (if applicable to company).

• Familiarity with security testing and DevOps practices.
